There are over 500 million native Spanish speakers on Earth, including 45 million in the United States – that’s over 12% of the United States population! One of the fundamental values of Classical Christian education is that students must be prepared to become effective leaders in society and to engage with their community to advocate for the truth; fluency in Spanish will open doors to communicate effectively with over 1/8 of the people in our country. Likewise, many job applicants have an advantage if they are bilingual in Spanish and English, so fluency will also open more career opportunities for many people.
Multiple levels will be offered based upon prior knowledge. We will work with your child to determine the most appropriate level.
Cornerstone students all take Spanish three times a week as part of their regular class schedule. We are thrilled to be able to also offer our high-quality Spanish classes to other families in the greater Northfield community who might want to explore Classical Christian education or who are committed to homeschooling but seek more advanced Spanish teaching from an experienced teacher. By offering one longer session per week, we aim to make it as convenient as possible for all interested families.
