How did you get involved with Cornerstone Academy?

Almost four years ago I wrote a note in my journal to start a Christian school in Northfield. I believe that was a nudge from the Lord, so I met with our pastor who indicated that others were interested also.  We had an information meeting in July of 2022; approximately 20 people attended. That was the start.

What is your role on the board?

Why are you passionate about Classical Christian Education?  

I had never heard of it before, until a head of school from a nearby community spoke at our church in June of 2022.  Since then I have attended workshops and have visited classical Christian schools in the Twin Cities metro area and in Rochester.  The more I learned the more excited I became about classical Christian school culture, the commitment to passing on the Christian faith, the curriculum used, the interactions between staff members and students and between the students themselves.
