Join our mission to develop the next generation of equipped and engaged Christ-followers.
Our faith helps determine not just what we teach, but how.
Staff at Cornerstone Academy teach the virtue of diligence by being diligent in their own work. They train the affections by sharing good things that they can’t help but enjoy. They teach respect for others by relaying and communicating respect through classroom and time management, the way they respond to students, and the way they communicate about others.
Want to know what it takes to thrive as part of the CA team?
An educator at Cornerstone Academy must:
-Know their subject well and keep learning it. Model what it is to be a learner.
-Find ways to keep their students’ attention, beginning with communicating genuine passion about their subject.
-Establish an accurate and meaningful starting point by ascertaining what the students know and do not know.
-Use language and provide examples that elucidate rather than muddle ideas. -Model activities that teach students to become self-learners.
-Use effective review to check for understanding and to reinforce learning.
We are looking for candidates that demonstrate a relationship with Christ that involves daily communion through prayer and reflection, a genuine pursuit of understanding and living by biblical principles.
We are looking for candidates that share a passion for our mission of preparing young people to live faithful Christian lives solidly equipped to lead and transform culture through the gospel of Christ Jesus.
We are looking for team players who are willing to work together, share ideas and contribute to our common goal.
